40. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013)
Better than the first part, but that’s mostly due to the addition of Michael Emerson’s Joker. Still these films have only serve to highlight the weakness of the Dark Knight Returns as a complete story and not just a series of vignettes. The animation and voice acting is great, but the structure just feels off. I’m glad DC Animation is taking the chance by doing stories like this one, but they need more talented writer’s when they adapt these properties. That, or stick to smaller stories they can expand on, like they did with Superman vs The Elite.
